El Local Apartment
Spectacular and colorful three-level loft with large terrace-patio.
The apartment’s bright walls, its industrial-style furniture and accessories, the large available space and high ceilings fill you with good humor as soon as you step in.
As it's an old recycled grocery with double-height ceilings, there are no windows. However, natural light comes in through big skylights that illuminate the principal rooms. Besides, the entrance of light is maximized by some panels of glass blocks.
You’ll be surprised by the hall in red and orange shades. A small corridor leads to the large principal room,
In this room there is a red sofa and another one in a greenish exquisite pattern. Besides, on one side there's a TV set, a blue piece of furniture with small cupboards, like a filing cabinet, and a single bed that can be used as a spare couch.
The blue cabinet hides the children’s room behind, decorated with a lively bed (child size), a small table and several toys.
From the main room you can access another big spacious room. On both sides of this room there are two small ones: one with quite a big shower and a laundry room with washing machine and cleaning products. In front of the shower there’s a wash basin, a mirror and a stool.
Behind a metallic filing cabinet in the middle of the room, there’s a big double bed on a stunning structure of découpé wood which is mounted on wheels.
Coming back to the main room we find, on the other side, another distribution hall with a small pool of colorful balls for the little ones to enjoy.
On the right of this hall there’s a toilet, with WC and an original wash basin, and on the left, at a lower level, the kitchen/dining-room. First we find a table with chairs and at the end, the kitchen itself. This is equipped with fridge, gas stoves and all the necessary cooking utensils.
On one side of the dining-room there’s a staircase that leads to a room just above the kitchen. The room, with minimalist decoration, has two single mattresses at floor level and is lit by a small reddish lamp and a string of small white lights.
The same staircase also connects the principal room and goes up another flight up to the terrace-patio. This place is equipped with a table, chairs and two deck-chairs. At night, some colored lights installed on the walls create a very special and intimate atmosphere.
Although the apartment is situated just in front of the train station, it’s not noisy at all since it’s in the back side of the building. The trains to Barcelona and El Prat Airport leave every 15-20 minutes.
The loft’s capacity is 5 adults + 1 child, but there's a possibility to accommodate two more adults at request. There's an open parking place for two vehicles at the entrance of the loft. The apartment also counts with Wifi connection to the Internet.
